Southern Season is one of the best-known attractions in the Chapel Hill region. Since its creation in 1975, Southern Season has provided specialty food items and products for its customers. Among its items are coffee, cheese, wine and beer, chocolate, candies, and so much more. Customers who visit are also able to get samplings of some of the specialty foods, such as wine from the full service wine and beer-tasting bar or handcrafted coffee from its full service coffee and tea bar. Cooking classes are also offered here, hosted by a celebrity chef, and its restaurant allows for customer to eat inside or outdoors.

Sutton’s Drug Store is a must-see attraction for anyone in the Chapel Hill area. The décor is reminiscent of a 1950s pharmacy and diner. If you need to buy some minor conveniences or you want to have a sit-down meal, Sutton’s Drug Store can help with both options. The walls are covered with UNC posters, pictures and other paraphernalia, to the point where it’s difficult to find blank wall space! The ambiance of this shop is what makes this place stand out from other similar drugstores.

Uniquities is a small boutique that features many prominent designers. Raved by many for its denim selection, its selection is never lacking. Though it is on the pricier spectrum, the items that it provides are worth the costs.

The Bookshop of Chapel Hill is a used bookstore with a wide variety of literature. In addition to its wide variety of scholarly works (always appreciated in a university town), the bookshop provides over 90 different genres of books for customers to peruse. It also contains rare books that can help to complete a book collector’s library.

UNC fans can check out the Shrunken Head boutique, located on Franklin Street. It features a wide variety of Chapel Hill gear. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, key chains and more are all sold here. Regardless of your age, there’s a little bit of something for all Tar Heel fans here.
